HELIUM PROCESSING | ROSWELL, NEW MEXICO

THE WORK: Dismantling, relocation and reconstruction of a helium processing plant. Great care was taken in labelling, logging, and photographing of piping and equipment for easy and well-managed reconstruction at a new location. The move involved 26 truckloads of processing equipment and piping.

The plant was built in the new location in Roswell, New Mexico. Modifications were made for changes in grading elevation, the new pipe rack was laid down, the processing skids set, and everything connected. The new gas inlet quality contains hydrocarbons, so gas treating was added to the process. Amine was installed for CO2 mitigation and a TEG dehydration unit for drying the gas prior to helium processing.

Blondo Constructors worked with the client to iron out details, keep it simple, mitigate costs, and bring the plant to fruition while meeting relevant codes and regulations.

THE RESULTS: Desert Mountain Energy was provided with a working world class helium gas processing plant that has gas treating on the front end, on time and on budget.

KEY TAKE-AWAYS: There is a right vendor for every project, and sometimes it takes having experience with the processing and knowledge of how equipment is operated to eliminate problems and keep things from getting complicated.

THE BENEFIT: Successful project with the absolute lowest expenditure possible.
